Coronavirus scare, five samples from Odisha sent to NIV Pune

Bhubaneswar, Feb 1: Blood samples of five people have been sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune for corona virus, informed Director of Medical Education & Training (DMET), CBK Mohanty. Mohanty also said that the concerned five persons have been kept under isolation after a review meeting held at the Lok Seva Bhawan today. Earlier a youth in Kandhamal district who returned from China on January 11 was referred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack on Friday after he suspected himself of being infected with deadly coronavirus. Doctors at the SCB Medical College said that the health condition of the youth is stable. According to the World Health Organisation, the signs of infection include fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing. The first positive case of coronavirus in India has been reported from Kerala on Thursday.
