Coronavirus scare: 62 under home quarantine in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: As many as 62 persons have been kept under home quarantine in the state as a part of precautionary measures in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. The state surveillance system has identified as many as 93 travelers who have returned from coronavirus affected countries after 15 January, the health department said on Monday. State health control room is functioning 24x7 and queries of people are being addressed by control room No. 0674-2390466, it added. As nCoV (Covid-19) has no definite treatment so prevention is the best and wide publicity is being done to create awareness in the community accordingly through health education messages, the department said. "While 93 persons have been kept under observation, 62 persons have been kept under home quarantine, " a health department official said. Similarly, around 28 persons have completed home quarantine and three persons have been admitted at health facility when three persons have been discharged. Total seven samples were collected that tested negative for the deadly coronavirus.
