Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: There is no specific evidence that coronavirus spreads through eating chicken, mutton and fish. This has been clarified by Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Fisheries and Animal resources Development minister Arun Kumar Sahoo. It is nothing but a hoax that consumption of non-vegetarian food spreads coronavirus, the minister said. The minister’s clarification comes amid rumours that the novel coronavirus can transmitted through consumption of chicken, the prices of which have fallen considerably as a result. Poultry farmers have been forced to sell live chicken just at Rs 30 per bird in the market.
