Corona patient creates ruckus midway to hospital in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Aug 10: A youth of Koradakanta village on the outskirts of capital city of Odisha, who tested positive for Covid-19, allegedly created ruckus on the way to a dedicated Covid Hospital here on Sunday. According to reports, a resident of Koradakanta area had tested positive for coronavirus following which the local administration conducted contact tracing. Two youths, one worked as a mason and another one as driver, were found suspicious of being infected with the deadly virus and the health workers asked them to stay in isolation collecting their swab samples for test. The reports tested positive on Sunday and an ambulance reached the quarantine centre to take them to Covid Hospital. However, the driver refused to get admitted to Covid Hospital. Later, the local sarpanch and health worker convinced him to go to the hospital. When the ambulance was on its way to hospital the patient threatened the drive to stop the ambulance as he had a call of nature otherwise he was going to pee on him. When the driver stopped the vehicle, he jumped out of it and created ruckus. Later, police and some locals threatened to beat him following which he agreed to go to the hospital.
