Bhubaneswar, July 15: As many as three persons succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the state Health department said on Wednesday.
“Regret to inform the demise of three Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” health department said on Twitter.
According to the health department, a 65-year-old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes passed.
Similarly, a 72-year old Male of Bhubaneswar and an 86-year old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from chronic Hypertension succumbed to COVID-19.
As many as 618 persons tested positive for Covid-19 on July 14 in Odisha. While 411 cases were reported from quarantine centres across the state, 207 cases were local.
The number of Covid-19 positive cases reached 14,898 in the state with the detection of the new cases.
Besides, two Covid positive patients have died due to other causes.
A 72-year old Male of Ganjam district who passed away due to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury.
Another 52-year old Male of Khordha district who passed away due to Coronary Artery Disease with Left Ventricular Dysfunction.
