Bhadrak: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) vice-president Arya Kumar Jnanendra’s vehicle was allegedly attacked near Banta Chhak in Bhadrak district by supporters of a Minister today.
The leader said that more than 50 miscreants intercepted his vehicle and ransacked it around while he was heading towards an eatery for breakfast near Bant Chhak.
“They also threatened me to leave Bhandaripokhari Assembly constituency soo or face dire consequence,” said Jnanendra, alleging that the miscreants are BJD supporters.
Police have started investigation into the incident.
Notably, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik is contesting from Bhandaripokhar Assembly seat. Incumbent Bhandaripokhari BJD MLA Prafulla Samal also is contesting from this seat.
Bhandaripokhari along with 40 other Assembly segments and six Lok Sabha constituencies will go to polls on Monday.
