Cold wave sweeps Odisha, snowfall at several places

Bhubaneswar, Jan 12: Most parts of Odisha were swept by a cold wave on Monday as night temperature dropped below 10 degree Celsius at 11 places with snow fall at several places. Raikia, Kalinga, Daringibadi and G Udyagiri in Kandhamal district and Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district witnessed a thin layer of snowfall this morning. {"id":23974,"sizeSlug":"large"} The regional met office predicts similar weather condition across the state for more two days. Today’s morning bulletin said Sonepur and Phulbani recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 06.0 degree Celcius. {"id":23975,"sizeSlug":"large"} Besides, the mercury dropped below 10 degree Celcius at over nine places, including Angul (06.6), Titlagarh (07.1), Daringbadi (07.5), Jharsuguda (09.4), Keonjhargarh (09.1), Sambalpur (09.6), Koraput (09.0), Bhawanipatna (08.5) and Talcher (09.7).
