Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today visited Dhenkanal and Angul district and launched several projects worth Rs 2,082 crore.
During his visit to Dhenkanal, the Chief Minister attended a farmers’ congregation at Panchupada and launched the KALIA Scholarship programme. Under the initiative, the State Government will support higher education expenses of students of farmers in Government professional colleges. Besides, the Chief Minister inaugurated six projects and laid foundation stone for eight projects in the district worth Rs 953 crore.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated four projects and laid foundation stone for 10 projects worth Rs 1,129 crore in Angul district.
The projects will augment drinking water supply, road connectivity, power grid, health sector and irrigation, said Patnaik.
Adequate security arrangements were made at the meeting venues in the two districts for the visit of the Chief Minister.
