CM sanctions Rs 16 crore for creation of amenities in minorities’ religious institutions

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs16 Crores to different minority religious institutions of the State for creation of pilgrim amenities and community hall. The funds will be provided from the Special Problem Fund during the year 2019-20.

As per the decision, the Satyanagar Jesus Christ and Mother Merry, Bhubaneswar Catholic Church and the Capital Masjid, Unit-4 will get Rs 2 crore each for the purpose. The Cuttack Odia Baptist Church, Mission Road, Cuttack and Qadam-e-Rasul Masjid, Dargha Bazaar, Cuttack will also get Rs 2 crores each.

Besides, the Kendrapara Fakirabad Markazi Masjid, Bhadrak Puruna Bazar Jama Masjid, Sambalpur Zilla School Chhak Paltan Masjid, Sambalpur St.Joseph, Cathedral (Roman Catholic), Jammia Masjid of Bhapur Bazar, Berhampur, Giri Road Berhampur Odia Baptist Church (CNI), Rourkela Bishop Missionary (Roman Catholic) and Rajgangpur Sunni Jamma Masjid will also be provided with Rs 1 crore each for development of amenities and community hall in their respective institutions.
