Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the flood situation in Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapada districts and announced relief for seven days for the affected people for seven days.
After taking stock of the situation, the CM announced that adults will get Rs 60 per day relief whereas children below 12 years to receive Rs 45 per day. He also announced that free treatment will be provided to domestic animals in the flood affected areas.
The CM reviewed the situation with the Collectors of Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara through videoconferencing and asked them to submit flood damage report within seven days.
Even as water started receding from Baitarani river, flood situation remained grim in several parts of Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara districts.
No loss of life has been reported.
