Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today released the communicative postage stamp on Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup-2018 at the State Secretariat here.
The Chief Minister released the stamp hours before the commencement of the first match of the World Cup at the Kalinga Stadium here.
The stamp was released to commemorate the 14th edition of Men’s Hockey World Cup beginning today. The mega event will end on December 16.
People can get the new stamp from a stall opened at the Kalinga Stadium, the venue for the mega fight.
On the occasion the Chief Minister thanked the Postal Department for having produced the beautiful stamps at the time of the Men’s Hockey World Cup here in Bhubaneswar.
A state-level exhibition will also be organised in Kenojhar between December 15 and 17 to promote the stamp.
Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Development Commissioner R Balkrishnan and Chief Postmaster General Jaleswar Kanhar were present.
