Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched ‘Rebuild Odisha’ portal http://rebuild.odisha.gov.in where people can donate funds for restoration and rehabilitation in Cyclone Fani-affected areas in the State.
At least 43 people have been killed as the cyclone wreaked havoc in the State on May 3.
As per the Situation Report released by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), at least 1,50,94,321 people have been affected in 14 districts – Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh and Puri.
A total 159 blocks, 52 ULBs, 16659 villages, 5,08,467 houses and 87,39,657 livestock were affected and 34,56,362 livestock casualties were also reported.
Puri is the worst hit as the extremely cyclonic storm made landfall nearby Puri on May 3 morning causing widespread damage to the power, water and communication facilities.
