Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched several development projects worth around Rs 796 crore in Cuttack.
Of the Rs 796 crore projects, 35 projects worth Rs 270 crore were inaugurated while foundation stone was laid for 22 projects worth Rs 526 crore.
The inaugurated projects included Biju Setus on Sanachancho-Badachancho road, pipe-water supply at Choudwar, UCHC at Chauliaganj, 300-bed girls’ hostel for the Ravenshaw junior college and water treatment plant at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Similarly, the projects, for which foundation-stone were laid included Nayabazar-Madhupatna over-bridge, bridge over the Gobari river on Mahanga-Bagasarapur road, a 20,00-litre capacity Omfed plant at Kendupatna, four high-level bridges under Niali and Kandpara blocks, two road project under Cuttack Sadar and Nischintakoili blocks and 400-bed hostel at the Shailabala Women’s College in Cuttack.
The Chief Minister also addressed a Biju Yuva Vahini Samabesh at the Baliyatra ground.
