Jharsuguda: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today visited Jharsuguda and launched various development projects worth Rs 618.66 crore.
The projects, which were inaugurated, include six lift irrigation projects worth Rs 32 lakh in Jharsuguda and Lakhanpur block and two 2X5 MVA 33/11 KV grid substations in Jharsuguda and Kirimira blocks.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for several projects, including the proposed Cancer Care Hospital, which would come up at a cost of Rs 145 crore at Jharsguguda, four mega water supply projects worth Rs 388 crore to come up at Jharsuguda, Kolabira, Kirimira and Laikera blocks, railway overbridge at Choukipada (Rs 35.62 crore), Nidan Kendra at Jharsuguda (Rs 15 crore) and Amati small lift irrigation project of Rs 18.22 crore.
These apart, Patnaik distribute assistances among beneficiaries of different schemes.
The Chief Minister also addressed a public rally at Amalipalli.
