Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik today held road shows in Patkura seeking votes for party candidate Sabitri Agrawalla in the ensuing Assembly election.
The CM after arriving at Barimula in a chopper started his campaigning in a specially desgined bus.
Election will be held on July 20 election and results will be declared four days later on July 24.
The BJD supremo will also hold roadshow and address public meetings in Chandol, Garadpur and Patkura areas.
Patkura was supposed to go to polls on April 29, the last phase of the four-phase elections in the State. But the death of BJD candidate Bed Prakash Agarawalla and then the aftermath of cyclone Fani that hit the State on May 3 forced the election to be postponed twice.
In Patkura, the party is up against Naveen Patnaik’s friend-turned-foe Bijoy Mohapatra of BJP.
