Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: Following the ‘centre fixing’ allegations levelled by the Plus Two Examination Managing Committee members recently, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to change around 20 examination centres in the state.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Examination Managing Committee of CHSE on Sunday.
Informing the media, CHSE Controller of Examinations Bijay Kumar Sahu said that a new list of examination centres will be prepared by changing 20 centres for the Plus-II examinations scheduled to begin on March 7.
Congress MLA Santosh Singh Saluja and BJD MLA Kishore Mohanty on February 7 alleged that some tainted CHSE officials had replaced the previous list of examination centres with a new list by adding some colleges where malpractices were reported last year.
Following this, the Odisha Abhibhabak Mahasangh had demanded a Vigilance probe into the matter. Besides, they also requested the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) to intervene in the matter.
