Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has announced the Plus-two results of Commerce stream today.
The results were declared by School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.
A total of 25,772 students have appeared the examination in 2020 and out of which 19,318 students had passed. The overall pass percentage was 74.95 per cent.
As many as 40 have secured above 90 per cent, said the Minister.
Dash also said that 29 schools have shown 100 per cent results while in 2019, as many as 25 schools had managed to score the same.
Speaking on the zero results of the schools, the Minister said that 2 schools have shown zero result this year and we will look into matter seriously as to why the results were zero.
A total of 16,648 boys have appeared and 12,215 have passed the exam taking the pass percentage to 73.37. While the pass percentage of girl student stands at 77.8 in which a total of 9,124 30,073 girl students have appeared and 7103 have passed.
Nayagarh district has the highest pass percentage while Deogarh has the lowest.
The results are available in the website www.orissaresults.nic.in and in the SAMS College e-space for information of all concerned.
In view of COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions imposed by the government, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash will declare the result in presence of the government and CHSE officials.
Earlier, the minister had said the results of Arts stream will be declared in the last week of August.
After canceling the remaining papers of annual Plus-II examination for the safety of students due to the spread of COVID-19, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Examination Committee has adopted alternative method of awarding marks to students.
