Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions will intensify in the State from tomorrow after the impact of the cyclone “Pethai” is completely reduced, predicted the Regional Meteorological Centre here.
According to the regional Met office, the “Pethai” has turned to be a low-pressure and is now heading towards north-east of Andhra Pradesh coast. By impact of the cyclone, rains are likely to occur in many parts of south Odisha and some parts of north Odisha. But rains will vanish by tomorrow morning and therefrom cold wave conditions will prevail.
During the last 24 hours, many parts of the State witnessed rains. While Paradip recorded 80 mm rains, Gopalpur 50 mm, Sambalpur 70 mm and Bhubaneswar recorded 30 mm rains.
