Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today visited cyclone Titli-ravaged Gajapati to take stock of restoration process there.
On Sunday, a three-member Ministerial team led by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Maheswar Mohanty reviewed the post-cyclone restoration work in Gajapati district.
On Sunday, the State Government said that it would dispatch three additional ODRAF and two NDRF teams to Gajapati to step up restoration work.
Meanwhile, the death toll due to hillock collapse at Baraghara village of Gangabada gram panchayat under Raygarh block in Gajapati district rose to 15 after two more bodies were recovered on Saturday night.
It may be noted that members of five families were believed to have taken shelter in a cave of the hill for safety before the Cyclone Titli hit the coast, but the hillock, after being soaked in rainwater for many hours, collapsed over them.
Road connectivity was severely damaged in the cyclone in the district.
