Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that the Central Government is yet to release Rs 6,400-crore to Odisha due to the State while only a month remains for the current financial year to end.
After taking stock of the pending Central Government projects in the State at the Odisha Bhavan, Patnaik said, “Hardly one month left out for the financial year to end. About Rs 4,000 crore is yet to be released by the Government of India to the State.”
This includes, more than Rs 1,000 crore for housing scheme, Rs 375 crore in health sector, Rs 400 crore under NREGS and Rs 650 crore in Agriculture sector.
Patnaik said in Smart City Poverty Alleviation, out of the Rs 200 crore, the State has received only Rs 6 crore.
The Chief Minister added though the Centre had allocated Rs 180 crore for drinking water project but it so far released Rs 80 crore only.
