Bhubaneswar: Hirakhand Express will run as two separate trains – 18437/18438 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Express and 18447/18448 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express.
Notably, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan who hails from Odisha, on July 18 had written a letter to Goyal seeking two independent trains between Bhubaneswar and Jagdalpur and Jungarh.
Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal wrote to Pradhan in this regard.
“I am happy to inform you that in deference to your request, it has been decided to run train 8437.18438 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Express between Bhubaneswar and Junagarh Road and 18447/18448 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Hirakhand Express between Bhubaneswar and Jagadalpur, as separate services. Hope this will go a long way in providing better connectivity to the travelling passengers,” said Goyal in his letter.
Expressing gratitude to Goyal for acceding to his request, Pradhan said the move will go a long way in providing better connectivity to passengers travelling to and from Odisha.
