Bhubaneswar: An eight-member Central team would visit Odisha today to undertake a tour to cyclone-Titli affected districts.
The inter-Ministerial team will visit sever cyclone devastated areas on November 1 and 2. After undertaking field visits, the team will meet top brass of the State administration, sources said.
Notably, 77 persons have been killed and three districts – Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada, were the worst affected in the cyclone which hit the Odisha coast on October 11 and subsequent flood caused under the impact of the cyclonic storm.
In the wake of the widespread destruction caused by Cyclone Titli, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on October 18 wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to release an interim assistance of Rs 1,000 crore for relief and restoration work.
