Bhubaneswar: The 11-member Central team led by Vivek Bhardwaj was divided into two sub-teams and moved to visit cyclone Fani- ravaged areas in Puri and Khurda districts, respectively, this morning.
The sub-teams will make assessment of people’s houses and Government buildings damaged in the cyclone that hit the Odisha coast on May 3.
Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi informed this after having a meeting with the Central members here this morning. He said the team members would make field visits to affected areas in Cuttack district on May 14 and undo the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation areas the next day on May 15. The team members will make assessment of damages caused by the cyclonic storm and then will have a high-level meeting with Chief Secretary AP Paddy to appraise him about their assessment. Then, they will move to New Delhi to submit their report to the Union Government.
