Bhubaneswar: Developmental projects to the tune of Rs 1,36,417 crore have been affected due to unsupportive nature of Odisha Government, alleges Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Pradhan while making a power point presentation here said Odisha Government has stalled Railway projects worth Rs 12,286 crore by not providing requisite clearances, Rs 56,563 crore National highway project, Rs 1,970 crore worth Textile Park project among many other significant development projects.
“The State Government is creating hurdles in the development of railways and delaying the projects that will improve connectivity. Odisha Government has stalled several developmental projects of the central Government in the state worth over Rs1,36,417 crore that would have accelerated growth and provided direct and indirect employment opportunity to youths in Odisha,” said Pradhan.
He also blasted the Government for not utilising DMF fund.
“The State Government has failed to utilise the District Mineral Fund of Rs 6438 crore for the development of people in mines areas especially in health, education, drinking water and infrastructure. Unfortunately, the Odisha Government has only utilised 1000 crore so far,” rued Pradhan.
