CDPO arrested for taking bribe of Rs 1.75 lakh in Odisha

Koraput, Oct 27: Vigilance sleuths today arrested CDPO of Nandapur in Koraput district on charges of demanding and accepting bribe. Vigilance sleuths said that the accused identified Snigdharani Mishra has demanded bribe of Rs 1.75 lakh from Snehalata Dalapati in order to draw of bill of Rs 9.47 lakh for the month of September and renewal of agreement of supply of take home ration in respect of SHG Tini Bhairabi, Nandapur. Accordingly, a trap was laid on Tuesday and the accused was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance. “The bribe money was recovered from the possession of the accused. In this connection a case has been registered and further investigation is continuing,” said an official.
