Cash stolen from parked bike near police station in Jajpur

Jajpur: Unidentified miscreants today broke open a school teacher’s bike side box and managed to flee with Rs 3.50 lakh in front of Jajpur Town police station in Jajpur district.

The teacher identified as Rabi Narayan Rath along with the peon of his school had come to SBI branch at Jajpur town to withdraw money for the marriage purpose of his daughter.

After withdrawing the cash, the victim teacher kept the cash in his bike’s side box which was parked in front of the police station. He asked the peon to remain present near the vehicle and had gone into the police station for inquiring about his passport.

When he returned, he found his bike’s side box opened and cash stolen.

Meanwhile, police started an investigation after the teacher lodged a complaint.
