Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet today approved a proposal for dissolution of 15th Assembly formally before formation of new government as the results for Assembly election in State will be out on May 23.
The Cabinet has recommended the Governor to dissolve the Assembly.
The Cabinet also approved sanction of funds for post-Fani restoration work. For the cleaning of ponds in Puri, the Cabinet approved Rs 15 lakh while Rs 24 lakh has been sanctioned for the labourers engaged in restoration work.
As per the Cabinet decision, the cyclone victims will get additional Rs 1000 each. The Cabinet also approved a proposal to hike the wage of labourers engaged in restoration from outside the State.
The wage of skilled workers was hiked from Rs 370 to Rs 555 while semi-skilled workers will get Rs 480 instead of Rs 320.
Similarly, the Cabinet decided to increase the wage of unskilled labourers from Rs 280 to Rs 480.
