Sambalpur, July 14: The district administration has decided to close OPD services at Burla medical from Wednesday to Sunday in view of rising COVID-19 positive cases among patients and health workers.
The district has also decided to closed all routine surgery till July.
As per an order issued by the district collector:
Casualty and Emergency surgery is allowed to function during the period of restriction.
Only referral and emergency cases are to be admitted in the hospital.
Assistant Fire Officer, Sambalpur in coordination with VIMSAR, Burla shall sanitize VIMSAR premises during this period.
Campus main gate will be guarded by Police Personnel. Only Emergency patients and staff are to be allowed to enter into the campus.
In order to maintain law and order, additional Police personnel may be deployed by the SP, Sambalpur, if required.
Except main entrance, all other entrance gates of VIMSAR, Burla are to be closed with proper barricading by Executive Engineer R&B-II, Sambalpur.
Only one attendant is to be allowed to accompany the patients.
Wearing of Mask in the hospital premises is mandatory for all staff, patients and attendants.
Proper IEC on infection prevention control is to be displayed in hospital
campus at all the strategic places.
Proper Infection Prevention protocols of COVID-19 are to be ensured at all level.
The Director, VIMSAR, Burla and Superintendent, VIMSAR, Burla are to form proper Monitoring Mechanism to ensure all above points. Fine to be imposed on the person violating the above rule and same to be deposited in Swasthya Bikash Samiti Account.
