Burglars break through roof to steal gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore in Odisha

Berhampur, Oct 31: Burglars allegedly decamped with gold ornaments weighing around 2 kilograms from a jewellery shop located at Badabazaar main road by breaking open the iron chest. The owner of the jewellery shop said that the burgled gold would be more than Rs 1 crore. As per reports, the burglars cut through the roof to enter the shop and later broke open the iron chest. “We found the strong room of being ransacked after opening the shop and immediately informed the police. We have also handed over the CCTV footage of the shop to the police for further investigation,” said an employee of the shop. Police said that they have started an investigation into the incident and are trying to identify the burglars involved in the crime.
