Brother-in-law suspectedly killed and buried sister-in-law; her skeleton exhumed from grave after 22 months

G Udaygiri, 9/12: The G Udaygiri police today exhumed the skeleton of a minor girl from her grave after 22 months of her death for the investigation into her mysterious death. It is suspected that her brother-in-law (elder sister's husband) had killed her, following which her body was buried in the grave. {"id":21729,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to reports, Celebrate, a Plus Two girl student of Kumbharkup village under G Udaygiri police station had reportedly committed suicide on February 1, 2018 and she was buried in grave as per Christian ritual. {"id":21730,"sizeSlug":"large"} However, it was suspected that Celebrate's brother-in-law Swaranjit Nayak had killed her for some reason and hung her by a rope from the ceiling. Swaranjit had once come to Celebrate' house alone and his behaviour was suspicious following the incident. {"id":21731,"sizeSlug":"large"} The minor girl's father had lodged complaint agianst his son-in-law with police, Commission for Women and Kandhamal collector. Acting upon the complaint, G Udaygiri police exhumed Celebrate's skeleton from her grave in presence of an executive magistrate and handed over it to the scientific team for further investigation.
