Sundergarh: In a major breakthrough in the investigation into the Reserve Police Armoury theft case, police today arrested a constable.
The Town police station officials on Saturday arrested a constable and recovered all the stolen magazines and all the 60 rounds of bullets.
The arrested police constable has been identified as Gulshan Kiro. He has been placed under suspension, said Sundargarh SP Soumya Mishra.
She said disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against those officials if they found guilty of the offence.
Sources said a case was registered at the Town police station on November 26 regarding theft of four magazines and some rounds of ammunitions. During investigation it was found that constable Gulshan Kiro was also involved in the case. And he was arrested.
