BMC imposes penalty of Rs 50000 on two polythene manufacturing units

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: Authorities of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today penalised two polythene manufacturing units at Mancheswar Industrial Estate. The enforcement squad comprising of BMC, BDA and State Pollution Control Borad today inspected four polythene manufacturing units in the industrial area and found both the units of operating without trade licenses. The squad later imposed penalty of Rs 30000 on Polychem India and Rs 20000 on Nandi Metal Rolling Mills. Besides huge quantity of polythene was also seized from both the units. Earlier on January 22, the BMC has imposed a penalty of Rs 1 lakh on a polythene manufacturing unit operating in Patrapada area.
