Block Chairman booked in Kalahandi for organising 'Gruha Pravesh' ceremony during lockdown

Bhawanipatna, March 26: Koksara police in Kalahandi district today detained the Dharmagarh block chairperson for organising a social gathering for Gruha Pravesh defying the lockdown regulation for Covid-19. Police have detained Balaram Pujari and said that stringent action will be taken against all such violations. As per reports, Pujari has invited his relatives for the social gathering and has also arranged a grand feast for the occasion. However, basing on specific intelligence police reached the spot and took Pujari under custody. “ A case in this connection has been registered against Pujari and we have also seized the utensils used during the feast,” said a police official.
