Bhubaneswar: The BJP Yuva Morcha president Tankadhar Tripathy today informed that the party youth activists will send letters to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seeking an answer over employment issue.
“We will write to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and post letters in 8,390 post offices across the State seeking answer over employment issue between February 12 and 15,” said Tripathy in a press conference here.
On Thursday, members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of BJP, also clashed with police in their bid to gherao the Assembly over rising unemployment in the State.
Tripathy alleged that the ruling party had provided jobs to 26,450 persons in the last 10 years out of the 22.57 lakh youths registered with the employment exchanges since 2009.
“While the BJP Government at the Centre is trying to generate more jobs, the State Government is intentionally creating hindrance in its way,” alleged Tripathy.
He said that lakhs of Odia youths holding degrees are migrating to other States in search of job due to the inefficiency of the State Government.
There is big disappointment among the youths who had voted the ruling BJD in the last four terms, he said.National BJYM general secretary Sourav Choudhury took part in the agitation.
