Bhubaneswar, July 14: The Ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are flouting COVID norms by not wearing masks and maintaining social distancing during press meetings.
The spokesperson Lenin Mohanty held a presser today and said it was unfortunate that BJP leaders.
He further said that BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi and senior leader Baijayanta Panda while addressing the media did not abide by social distancing guidelines and have not maintained adequate distance while sitting on the dais.
Mohanty said the saffron party leaders have blatantly flouted the guidelines laid down by the Centre and state government to contain dreaded coronavirus.
The Prime Minister and the Odisha Chief Minister have appealed to the people to abide by the norms, but senior BJP leaders are openly flouting such guidelines, Mohanty added.
He urged the BJP leaders in the state to refrain from playing politics out of the situation.
