Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that the BJP is losing everywhere in the country.
“What happened to double engines in MP, Rajasthan, Punjab and Chhattisgarh? In Gujarat BJP managed to scrape through with 99 seats, down from 182. In 2014 polls, the people gave mandate to BJP for development. But, it has lost people’s trust in past five years for its anti-party activites,” said Modi in election rallies. Patnaik today held rallies in different places in Jajpur, Bhadrak and Cutatck districts.
The Chief Minister also hit back at the BJP for demonetisation and GST terming those as anti-people.
“For these anti-people steps, the national party is losing polls in every State,” argued Patnaik.
He also reiterated that during flood, drought and series of cyclones such as Phailin, Hudhud and Titli that devastated Odisha, no central leaders visited the State.
“Now during election season, they frequent to Odisha to woo voters,” said Patnaik, further targeting the Centre for disrupting the KALIA money disbursement to farmers in the State.
