BJP criticises Odisha Govt for disrespecting Union Minister Choubey

Bhubaneswar: BJP today alleged that the Odisha Government has disrespected Union Minister for State for Health Ashwini Choubey. Choubey is on a two-day visit to Odisha to attend a slew of programmes, including the inauguration ceremony Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital in Balasore.

“None from State Government welcomed him as per protocol at the Biju Patnaik International Airport. Though the Union Minister is provided security under the ‘Y’ category, but he is not provided the same by the State Government,” said BJP Legislature Party leader KV Singh Deo in a press conference here.

He alleged that the Union Minister was also not given police escort beyond Jajpur.

He also alleged that Choubey’s name was not mentioned at the invitation card for the dedication of Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital, Balasore.

Earlier, the BJP had also targeted the BJD Government after the name of Union Health Minister JP Nadda was found missing from the invitation letter for the function organised to inaugurate Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir.
