Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Odisha today to address an election rally and campaign for his party candidates for Keonjhar Parliamentary constituency and seven Assembly segments under them, which will go to polls in third phase on April 23.
This will be his fourth visit during thr last two weeks. He had conducted a road show at Puri three days ago. He will address a huge public rally at the Keonjhar medical ground.
Notably, the saffron party had won the Keonjhar LS seat thrice in a row from 1998 to 2004. It lost the seat to BJD after the latter snapped ties in 2009.The party has fielded former MP Upendra Nath Nayak this time.
Shah’s visit to Keonjhar is likely to boost the electoral prospects of Nayak and the party’s candidates of the seven Assembly seats coming under the Lok Sabha constituency.
