BJP blasts BJD for not relieving Saraskana BJP candidate from his service

Bhubaneswar: The BJP today blasted the State Government for not accepting the resignation of an officer who have been nominated as a BJP MLA candidate for the upcoming elections.

Party spokesperson Lekhashree Samantasinghar in a press conference alleged that that while the State Government was readily accepting the resignation of officers who have been nominated as BJD candidates for the upcoming elections, but at same time it was not relieving BJP candidate for Saraskana Assembly constituency Budhan Murmu from his service despite vigilance and all requisite clearances from various agencies.

Murmu has applied for VRS six months back. Despite the fact that clearances have been given to him by various Government agencies, but the State has not yet relived him.

Murmu is a doctor servicing at a PHC in Saraskana in Mayurbhanj district.

“However, resignation of those officers who have been nominated by the BJD for upcoming elections are being relieved forthwith,” alleged the BJP spokesperson.
