New Delhi, Sep 20: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has opposed the Farm Bills in Rajya Sabha today because of inadequate protection to small and marginal farmers and share croppers and asked the Government to send the Bills to the Select Committee for fine-tuning the Bills.

On Thursday, Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal quit the Modi government opposing the farm bills likely to be passed in the two Houses of Parliament.
She submitted her resignation as Union Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
