BJD MLA Ananta Narayan Jena booked for alleged assault of woman

Khordha, May 21: Bhubaneswar MLA Ananta Narayan Jena has been booked by police for allegedly assaulting a woman over a dispute in Khordha area. As per reports, the case against the BJD legislator and his associates has been registered with the Baghamari police station in Khordha district. The victim alleged that Jena along with his associates assaulted her over digging of a pond in Sarua area on Tuesday. The woman also alleged the MLA of threatening her with firearm. The case against Jena and his associates has been registered under sections 448, 294, 354B, 506, 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 25 of Arms Act. However, Jena refused to comment on the incident.
