Bhubaneswar: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged the party leaders to get actively associated with membership drive starting tomorrow.
Addressing party’s extended executive committee meeting here, Patnaik said he was indebted to 4.5 crore people of Odisha because of the manner in which they have blessed Biju Janata Dal (BJD). He urged the party leaders to get actively associated with membership drive starting tomorrow.
While focusing on Government’s 5T mantra, he urged leaders and workers of the party to act as agents of transformation to bring satisfaction and cheer in the lives of people.
The regional party has set a target to double its number of members from the existing 47 lakh during the fresh enrolment drive.
Patnaik will launch party’s membership drive on Monday. The enrolment drive will continue till October 31. The party chief will assess the progress of the membership drive once in every 15 days.
Notably, Patnaik’s BJD has formed Government for the fifth consecutive term this May.
