Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today launched ‘Haq Maguchi Odisha’ campaign to against the BJP-led Central Government’s indifferent attitude towards development of Odisha.
Hundreds of BJD workers led by Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) advisor Chinmaya Sahu took out a rally at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar shouting anti-BJP slogans.
The regional party alleged that although BJP’s primary agenda in 2014 election manifesto was to grant Special Status Category (SSC) to Odisha, the saffron party has failed to fulfil its promises after being voted to power at the Centre.
The party further targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reportedly failing to create two crores jobs per year, hiking coal royalty, resolving Mahanadi water dispute with Chhattisgarh among many other key issues of the State. The party will move to every village and hold meetings to expose the BJP.
The party said that the indifferent attitude of the Centre’s indifferent attitude towards the development of Odisha will not be tolerated further.
