Bhubaneswar: A large number BJD activists of Paradip today staged demonstration near Naveen Niwas, the residence of BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, opposing the allotment of the party ticket to Sambit Routray.

The activists led by Santosh Patnaik demanded immediate reconsideration of the decision. They threatened to quit the party if their appeal is not considered.

Notably, BJD chief Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced the name of Sambit Routray, son of BJP leader and incumbent Paradip MLA Damodar Rout as party candidate from Paradip Assembly constituency.
