Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will begin campaigning for his party candidate for Bijepur by-poll Rita Sahu by conducting road shows and addressing public meetings from today.
According to information, Patnaik would campaign for Sahu for two days on Thursday and Friday. While the by-election will be held on October 21, the last day of campaigning is October 19.
Patnaik, the top most star campaigner of the BJD, is scheduled to land on the helipad at Laumunda stadium in Bargarh district at 10.30 am. Then, he will go by a car to Kurkuta begin his campaigning for BJD candidate Sahu. He will conduct road shows through the day in Barpali and Bijepur. He will spend the night at the Inspection Bungalow of the Works Department at Bargarh.
On Friday morning, Patnaik will go by a helicopter to Gaisilet. After landing on a helipad at Talapali Yatra Padia, he will conduct road shows. He will return to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon.
