Bhubaneswar: Train and bus services have been disrupted across the State on the 2nd day of Bharat Bandh, called by trade unions, on Wednesday.
As many as 10 trade unions have supported the nationwide bandh called against the wrong economlc policy of the NDA Government at the Centre. The BIju Shramika Sangathan has extended its support.
Activists have staged Rail Roko at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore and Brahmapur railway stations. The Bangiriposhi express train has been halted at Balasore station.
The trade union activists have also staged road blockades at different places by burning tyres on roads. Bus passengers have faced many difficulties.
Schools and colleges have remained closed as per the decision of the Government. Shops and bazaars have also been closed in major cities across the State.
Adequate police personnel have been deployed to ensure that no untoward incident occurs during the bandh.
