Bhubaneswar: The Bhadrak police on Sunday arrested three accused persons in connection with the Agarpada Balipokhar Murali Jena murder case, according to information.
The arrested were identified main accused Jitendra Jena and his two associations, Prahallad Jena and Debendra Jena.
According to reports, the body of Murali Jena of a nearby village was found floating in a canal at Balipokari late on August 23 night. Earlier in the day, Jitendra had a quarrel with Murali, which was resolved in the mediation of police. However, Jitendra didn’t return home that night and his body was located in the canal.
Family members lodged a complaint at the Agarapada police station. Since then, the police had been searching for Jitendra and others. While Jitendra and Prahallad were arrested from Soso village, Debendra was nabbed from Ashok Nagar area in New Delhi. Police are now interrogating them.
