Bhubaneswar: Bhadrak MP Arjun Sethi today resigned from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) after his son was denied ticket by the party.

He alleged that there have been large scale irregularities in BJD ticket allotment and said that though the party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik assured him of ticket for his son, but he was ignored.

“I am deeply hurt as my son Abhimanyu was denied ticket despite Naveen Patnaik’s assurance. Many undeserving people have been given ticket and large scale irregularities have been taken place in allotment of tickets,” said Sethi. Sethi is a six-time MP.
