BDA office security guard tests positive for Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, June 27: A security guard of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) office has tested positive for Covid-19. The Building was sanitised last evening and all the employees have been asked not to attend office for two days – Saturday and Sunday. A medical team wearing Personal Protective Equipments reached near the office on Friday afternoon and took the security guard in ambulance to COVID Hospital. The said security guard was engaged near gate of planning section in second floor of the building. Recently, he had undergone an eye surgery in the Capital Hospital and his sample was collected for Covid-19 test that resulted positive. We vacated the office premise as soon as we were informed about it and a sanitisation drive was conducted immediately, said a BDA official. There is no need to seal the building as the office is closed for two days due to weekend shutdown, the official added.
