Banks to remain closed for 6 days in March

Bhubaneswar, Feb 10: Banks will remain closed for six consecutive days in March 2020 due to government holidays and strike of public sector bank employees. The bank would remain closed on March 10 due to Holi followed by the strike of the two major bank employee unions, i.e, Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) and All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA), from March 11 to 13 over salary hike. Later, banks will not function on March 14 and 15 following second Saturday and Sunday. In total the banks will remain closed for six long days next month.
